Diabetic Foot

Foot ulceration (ULCER) is a common complication of DIABETES MELLITUS and heals slowly in diabetic patients. It is the result of a number of interacting factors such as neuropathies, injuries, and VASCULAR DISEASES. Severe foot ulceration, if not prevented, leads to infection, GANGRENE, and AMPUTATION.
